Bise Lahore

Well if you are student then you must be well versed with the term of Bise Lahore, it is basically an education governing body in the division of Lahore City. If you have never visited the Board before then it will be helpful information for you that you can visit the official building of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education situated at 86 Mozang Road, Lahore.

Jurisdiction

All the powers and authorities of Board are restricted to the districts of Kasur, Okara, Lahore, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib. It is the head of all other educational boards of Punjab, there are total eight boards in Punjab province, every year more than 20 lakhs students appear in different examination conducted by Lahore Board.

Matric Result

Normally the education governmental body issues the date sheet of all examination one month before the commencement of exams. Matric examination is held by the Board in the month of March and the results of secondary school examinations are announced in the beginning of August. 10th class papers are conducted before the 9th class papers.

Inter Result

Usually the inter examination is conducted by board in the month of May, as per announcements this year the intermediate exams will be starting from 5th May. Inter part 2 examination will be conducted before the part 1. The result of intermediate papers is normally announced in the month of September.

Introduction

After the establishment of Pakistan in 1947, the duty to conduct and control the matric and intermediate level examinations was handed over to the University of Punjab. Later on in 1954 the Board of Secondary Education, Punjab came into existence through the promulgation of the Punjab University Act (Amendment) and all the rights and authorities to control, conduct and regulate these examinations were handed over to the Punjab Board.

History

The first ever examination for matric and inter level students was conducted in 1955, and due to impressive growth in the candidates number two more boards i.e Sargodha and Multan were established under the West Pakistan Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (Multan & Sargodha) Ordinance No.XVII of 1968. With the passage of time further splitting of the board took place in the form of Gujranwala and Rawalpindi Boards. After the reconstruction of the Bise Lahore in 1976 through the Act of Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (lately amended by Punjab Ordinance No.XLVII) at the moment there are total eight boards performing their duties with great diligence at division level.

Study Abroad

When the Board started it's successful journey in 1954, it had all the rights to exercise it's authority in the provinces of Punjab, Azad Kashmir, Baluchistan and Northern Areas. It also established the examination centers at Nairobi (Kenya) and Kuwait to accommodate the overseas students. But now after several bifurcations over time, the Jurisdiction of the Lahore Board has been restricted to the districts of Nankana Sahib, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Kasur and Lahore.

Board

With the reference of Act, as per Clause 5, the term Board refers to the Governing Body Controlling the whole affairs of the office. Which is consist of the following members. (i) The Chairman (ii) The Vice-Chancellor of the University, or a University Professor nominated by him; (iii) All educational executive district officers of the area in which the authority of the board is exercised. (iv)The Director of Punjab Technical Education Lahore, or he can appoint a nominee on hi place. (V)One representative of Finance Department and one representative of Education department none of them should be below the rank of Deputy Secretary. (vi)The Controlling Authority will nominate one principal of any Degree College situated within the Jurisdiction of the said Board. (vii)The Controlling Authority is also liable to nominate one Principal of the Intermediate College situated withing the authority of Board. (viii)One Headmistress and two Headmasters of the schools situated within the jurisdiction of the board and three of them will be nominated by the Controlling Authority (ix)Two persons chosen by controlling authority from amongst the retired educationists and scholars.
